Jaiku on your Mac OS X Desktop
There are a few applications and scripts available that enable you to Jaiku on your Mac. You could find an AppleScript that allows you to receive alerts from Growl whenever you or any of your Jaiku contacts emit a new Jaiku. Do you have Growl installed?
There is also a Dashboard Widget available for Mac OS X that enables you to send jaikus and receive jaiku updates from your friends. We can go even further by using a Plazes-Quicklsilver Script that allows you to update your Jaiku stream from Quicksilver then set your location with Plazes. Some developers have mashed all these scripts together to allow you to Jaiku from OS X. There is an OS X application for Jaiku too.
What about all your other Social Software services you use frequently like twitter, Flickr, Friendfeed or Facebook? Would you have to or want to find, configure and install an application for each one of these social media services?
